Well, nVidia basically got screwed on the whole Xbox deal, they wanted more money to do the Xbox 360, and so Microsoft went to ATi. The GameCube and the Revolution from Nintendo are both using ATi chipsets. nVidia is partnering with Sony to do the video on the PS3.
Everyone is in bed with everyone else nowadays.
